Pilates is a mind-body movement system that focuses on spinal mobility, functional strength and mobility, and breath. It can range from gentle pre-Pilates, to a very strong workout that can get your heart pumping! Look for the level class that is right for you.
Pilates is the foundation of what I do for both personal and professional reasons. In my early 20s I was literally brought to my knees with back pain. Since then, I have had very mixed results with staying pain-free. While other modalities have their place, I find that mobility-oriented Pilates is the best foundation for myself and my clients. There is an increasing awareness of the importance of the mind-body connection in pain relief in addition to the need for good posture, alignment, strength, and mobility.
There are multiple ways to optimal health and support my clients in discovering their way. If I think my skill set is not a match, I will not try to sell you on my services.
